2/3 cup margarine
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
5 Tbs. margarine
2 1/2 Tbs. milk
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Chocolate topping layer:
2 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 1/2 Tbs. margarine
Brownies: Preheat oven to 350 °F. Melt
margarine, chocolate and brown sugar together, and mix well. Add in eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix well. Spread in 9x13 greased pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool thoroughly.
Mint layer: Combine powdered sugar, margarine, milk and peppermint extract. Spread on cooled brownies.
Chocolate topping: Melt 2 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate and margarine together over hot water. Spread on top of mint layer.
